Grievance

MANDATE

The Grievance be comprised of the Chair (1st Vice-President), Chief Steward and other members. All members of the committee must be active Stewards;

– with the assistance of the Local’s Business Agent and President oversee the processing of all grievances. It shall do this in order to protect the Collective Agreement and the rights of individual members.

This Committee shall decide in conjunction with the Local Executive which cases are heard at arbitration and when to commit to third party consultations on cases or issues within its yearly budget.
